Titolo: Period growth of Thompson groups T and V
Abstract: In a Cayley graph, period growth measures the maximum order of torsion elements in a ball of radius n, as a function of n. I will present a combinatorial approach to compute period growth of Thompson groups T and V. This is based on joint work with A. Bishop, C. Bodart and D. Perego.
