Education Quality Assurance

The functioning of the University’s Quality Assurance (QA) System in relation to education on Degree Programmes (CdS) is described on the page dedicated to Quality Assurance on the University of Milano-Bicocca website.
In the department, a central role is played by the Joint Staff-Student Committee (CPDS), which monitors the academic programme and the quality of education and annually draws up a Report for each degree programme, which is sent to all relevant persons in their respective areas of responsibility (see Guidelines for the operation of Joint Staff-Student Committees - CPDS).

 

Other figures in the Department’s educational quality assurance (QA) system are:

  • the Departmental Educational Quality Assurance Officer (Prof. Alessandro RUSSO), who links the PQA-Education Branch with other departmental figures and committees, assisting them in carrying out the functions involved in the quality management of education;
  • the Quality Assurance Management Groups (GQA) for each CdS, including two or more lecturers from the Degree Programme (including the lecturer responsible for monitoring and the QA officer), at least one student representative and at least one member of the administrative support staff, which:
    • draw up annually the SUA-CdS and the Annual Monitoring Report (SMA);
    • prepare the Cyclical Review Report (RRC) and monitor the achievement of the objectives indicated;
    • monitor students’ career progression, their opinions on educational activities, their satisfaction after concluding their educational path, and the employment status of graduates, also through the analysis of external databases;
    • verify the coherence between the educational activities proposed and employment requests, also involving external stakeholders, through periodic meetings with representatives from the world of work;
    • acquire and analyse the CPDS Reports;
    • analyse the NdV Annual Report;
    • prepare the CdS self-assessment form, as part of the periodic accreditation of the CdS and prior to the NdV's hearing.
