Student Mobility Information
The Department of Mathematics and Applications encourages the students of our Bachelor's and Master's degree courses to benefit from training periods abroad. These periods allow candidates to integrate into their study plan university courses offered by foreign institutions with which our Department has stipulated international exchange agreements. Candidates who win calls for a period of study abroad have the opportunity to follow the selected courses in the chosen institution for the period necessary to attend lectures and to take the exam. Courses abroad integrated into the study plan are recognized for the relevant CFUs. As regards the Master's Degree, it is also possible to take advantage of a period abroad to carry out an internship or to prepare work for the final test (thesis work). These periods are carried out as part of international mobility programmes: conventions (bilateral agreements) have been stipulated with various prestigious foreign universities. The methods of participation and deadlines for the various programs are reported in the notices published on the University website.
As regards the attendance of our courses by students from other universities, the Incoming Erasmus and Exchange Students section is available on the University website. Incoming students from European Union countries are students who are part of the Erasmus programme, while students from other countries are part of the Exchange programme. At the request of the incoming student, all of our Master's Degree courses are taught in English.
In November, as part of the ceremonies for the opening of the academic year, the University organizes the Bicocca International Day, that provides information on the whole spectrum of international mobility opportunities offered.
