Departmental Quality Assurance System (SAQ)
Quality Assurance (AQ) is the process by which Universities realize objectives through the continuous monitoring and self-assessment of the Educational Offer, Research and Third Mission.
On the basis of the different academic levels and the different functions and competences, the University has implemented a Quality Assurance System (SAQ) both in the Education and in the Research and Third Mission activities, in order to promote an observation over time of the results obtained, to detect critical points and to implement corrective actions on the basis of the tools provided by the AVA system (Self-Assessment, Periodic Assessment, University Accreditation).
The functioning of the University Quality Assurance System is described in detail on the web page dedicated to Quality Assurance on the Unimib website and in particular in the document "The Quality Assurance System of the University of Milano-Bicocca".
The Department reviews its Quality Assurance System in accordance with the University SAQ. In particular, it intends to carry out an annual Review in order to assess its suitability, adequacy and effectiveness in implementing the Department's Quality Policy and related processes and activities and in achieving its objectives.
Each Department Council appoints a AQ Group, to build a structure consistent with that of the University, in order to ensure the quality of Education, Research and Third Mission. In order to optimise coordination, the AQ Group is also joined by the PhD Quality Assurance Officer, who works in a similar way to the Departmental Quality Assurance Officers in his area of responsibility.
Departmental AQ Group:
- Prof. Alessandro RUSSO (Quality Assurance Officer for Education)
- Prof. Francesco CARAVENNA (Quality Assurance Officer for Research)
- Prof. Giampaolo CRISTADORO (Quality Assurance Officer for the Third Mission)
- Prof. Thomas Stefan WEIGEL (Quality Assurance Officer for the PhD Programme)
