Title: Constraints on vertex-transitive groups of automorphisms of connected graphs
Abstract: Weiss Conjecture states that the order of the stabilizer of a vertex in the automorphism group of a connected, vertex-transitive and locally-primitive graph is bounded by a function of the graph’s valency alone. If we remove the assumption of locally-primitive, what can we say about the stabilizer? In this talk, inspired by the positive solution to Burnside Restricted Problem, we investigate whether similar properties hold for the number of generators and the exponent of the stabilizer.
