Maths Olympics 2026: Preparation Course for Students

-
Initiative aimed to high school students

From 11 December to 19 January, from 2:45 pm to 5:15 pm, at U9 Building of the University of Milano-Bicocca (Viale dell'Innovazione 10, Milano), a Preparation Course for students will be held on the occasion of the District Maths Olympics Competition scheduled for February.

The Course for students aims, through sessions of guided exercises and small theoretical explanations, to prepare students for the district competition and, in perspective, the national competition, balancing between the exposition of specific contents and techniques of the four traditional “Olympic” disciplines (algebra, combinatorics, geometry, number theory) and the focus on how to approach demonstration problems, which have always been a crucial point of the most advanced competitions.

The course will be structured in five sessions, with a part dedicated to demonstration exercises:

  • 11/12/25 in Room U9-01
  • 16/12/25 in Room U9-15
  • 08/01/26 in Room U9-09
  • 13/01/26 in Room U9-14
  • 19/01/26 in Room U9-05

Interested students (and any accompanying teachers) must register by filling out the form at this link.
