The meetings take place at the "Dipartimento di Matematica e Applicazioni" of the newly established Università di Milano Bicocca. The Department is located in the
new university and technology center in the Bicocca zone, north of Milan, viale Sarca 202, U7 Building, 2nd Floor, Room 285 "Aula Tesi" at the Statistics Department.

One can reach the Bicocca area as follows:

by train - from one of the stations Milano Porta Garibaldi or Milano Lambrate - arriving at Milano Greco-Pirelli station - for time schedule Consult the Italian
     Railways Orario online  the German or alternatively, the Swiss Federal railways server. Both train stations are reachable via the green underground line. To access wagons you may use the same ticket valid for  underground or bus. Please remember to stamp it at the yellow machines before boarding the train!

by subway:  red line: Precotto station (via Pelitti) => shuttle bus to Bicocca
     green line: Milano Centrale station => bus #70 or 727 (towards Cinisello or Cusano M.)
     yellow line: Zara station => tramway #2 or 11.

by bus - line 70 or 727  from Milano Central station towards Cinisello or Cusano Milanino.

by tramway - line 2 or 11.

by taxi - you should tell the driver you would like to reach Università di Milano Bicocca, viale Sarca 202. The fare may vary from 7/8  to 15/20 USD depending on the distance.
 
 

  If you travel by air, you will most likely land at the Milano-Malpensa airport (terminal I), which is located some 40 KM North-West from the city center.
Bus departures: each 20 minutes from 6.40 a.m to 9 p.m. with the pattern h.00, h.20, h.40. Then each 30 minutes up to 00.30 a.m. The arrival point is the "Air terminal" of the Milano Centrale Railway Station. The ride lasts approx 50 minutes. The ticket price is 13.000 ITL. (1USD=1950 ITL approx.). Tickets available on AIRPORT 2000 office(Arrival Terminal).

Otherwise you may get the Malpensa-express train to the green line at Cadorna. Tickets may be purchased at the ticket offices in FN stations at Milan
 Cadorna 6.30 a.m.-8.30 p.m.), Milan Bovisa Politecnico, Saronno (6.30 a.m. - 8.30 p.m.), Malpensa airport (7.30 a.m.-9.30 p.m.) and in all FN
 railway stations. Automatic ticket machines are available in Milan Cadorna, Milan Bovisa Politecnico and in the airport. All daily and
 season tickets allow you to use the Milan Railway Link (Passante  ferroviario) (underground map with "how to move in and out of
town") and to begin and end your journey in any of the city's railway stations (both Ferrovie Nord and Italian State Railways stations). The fare is 20.000 ITL.
If you fly Alitalia you WILL pay  a reduced ticket (10.000 instead of 15.000 Lit).

Should you land at the Linate Airport, the best way to reach Milano Center is taking Bus #73. It takes you in 20/25 minutes to the Metro Station (red line) S.
Babila (5 minute's walk from the Duomo). There is a bus each 7/10 minutes. Bus #73 is an ordinary city bus; the ticket should be bought inside the aiport
area; it costs Lit. 1500.

The cost of a taxi ride is > 80.000 Liras from Malpensa and > 50.000 Liras from Linate (with the same ending points and with approximately the same
duration of the ride).

If you are lodged at the Hotel Le Stelline you may step down at Cadorna U-station (green and red line) and get there on foot (see map).
If you dwell at the Hotel Gala, you should get to the yellow line (either from Cadorna, or San Babila) and reach Zara U-station (see map).
If you stay at ISU, you should get to the yellow line (either from Cadorna, or San Babila) and step down at Crocetta U-station (see map).
If you spend your week (or more) at the Ornato, you should get to the yellow line (either from Cadorna, or San Babila) and reach Zara U-station,
then get trolley #11 or 2 and then bus # 51 (you better ask the driver when you should change) (see map)
